Received "complaints" that I did not update my blog... realised that the last time i blog was 3 month ago... *faint**
Just went out to spend time with joseph without jayden... phew.. Jayden is now about 12kg, more than 25% of my weight. bringing him out is never easy... for once, it's only me and Jo spending time together without having to worry milk powder and diaper etc... Had a sumptous buffet at taka family international buffet. Food so so only la... thank God I can eat and eat without thinking of putting on weight... hehehe
Then after which we started shopping at taka... feel so shiok to spend vouchers given by Citi without feeling a pinch, a good $1200 vouchers which I can buy anything i want.
Some changes to both cell groups... doing some restructuring... think it's the best thing for the members, not to stay in comfort zone but move on...
Have been in Citi for about 7 months now.. time flies man... there are many "arrows" and "darts" flying around at times. People of the world are really different esp in one of the most competitive bank in this part of the world. No wonder the bible says got to be as gentle as a dove and as shrewd as a serpent. In my opinion, CHC has taught many of us good values, attitudes, how to honour others, how to be a blessings and all which are all things we christians should do. But I was also reminded about being shrewd. Coming from NGO where the enviroment is "churchy" and everyone is good to another, helping one another is not an issue as you know kindness will be reciprocated. However, in Citi, I've to learn to be wise, who to talk to, what to say and how to say. We all know about cultural mandate through Pastor Kong's preaching. Now is really Cultural mandate in action. How to be in the world and not of the world. Politics are inevitable and unavoidable. And you can really see that fallen man are still struggling with the same issues. Someone said, if you really want to know a person, give him all the power, all the money and all the fame... it will really magnify his heart desires. sometimes the things at work is very stressful and time consuming. Feel at times mentally emotionally and physically so tiring. It seems that when I go home, I can't stop thinking about work at times. Sometimes, also feel that it's hard to share with friends in the zone as there are not much opportunities for fellowship. Everything at least for me is always in a rush... Work, family, cg... then work, family, cg... and then work family, cg...
So I've to pray and please really keep me in prayer. I have done quite well in the last quarter, getting quite a good commission. But i want to make a difference. A difference to the lives of the people here. But not to be naive or gullible to be taken advantage by others.
Time for family is lesser. but they are still my priority. Got to pray for wisdom and strength. Sometimes coming back home and putting Jayden to sleep, I'll find myself dozing off without removing my make up and all.
Guess it's all times and season... This is a season where I need to work hard and breakthrough will come... But I always remember what the Bible says.. What profit a man if he gains the whole world but loses his own soul". Work is important.. but God and family is still most important... So pray for me la... a mum with so many multiple roles....wife, mother, "maid", employee, a daughter, a sister, cell group leader, etc etc... But most important... I must remember I'm 1st of all a child of God.
